Sunday Suppers: April 15
On Sundays, we like to spend a little extra time cooking. Maybe it's making an elaborate new recipe, a family classic or something simple that will keep feeding us all week. Here's what we're making this weekend:
Rosemary Lamb Shanks Manuel
"Lamb shanks are my favorite spring dish to cook. You feel like you're in a fancy restaurant! Plus, making this dish is a family affair: first step is having my son hunt down rosemary in the neighborhood."
Melt-in-your-mouth Meatballs Michael
"My family is Italian and ate some variation on pasta, red sauce and meatballs every Sunday night. Making this always feels like home, especially with such high quality meat. I use 50/50 blend: ground pork and 80/20 ground beef."
Thomas Keller's Roast Chicken Lisa
"Cook this recipe once and you'll see why this is the perfect roast chicken recipe. I make it a meal by filling the pan with seasonal veggies that roast with the chicken and juices. After we've picked off all the meat to go in other dishes, I turn the carcass into a slow boiling stock which will go into soups, rices and sauces all week."
