Steak Tacos, Carne Asada Marinade & Simple Lime Version

Carne Asada Skirt Steak

  • 1 Skirt Steak
  • Juice from 5-6 limes
  • 1/3 of a cup of olive oil
  • dash hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari (last night was GF)
  • Spoonful of honey
  • 1 tablespoon each of oregano and and black pepper

Mix the marinade. Place skirt steak in a ziplock, add the marinade and let marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours. Grill on gas or charcoal. 

Simple Salt, Pepper and Lime Bavette or Skirt Steak: 

Salt and pepper the steak before placing on the grill. Grill on gas or charcoal. Squeeze a fresh lime on top of meat, season more with salt and sprinkle on chopped cilantro.
