Sweet & Spicy Butcher's Brisket Rub

Crave a smokey, sweet brisket? Our butcher developed this rub that combines the smokiness of paprika with a touch of sweet and spice.


1/2 cup sweet paprika

6 tbsp brown sugar

4 tbsp salt
4 tbsp garlic powder

2 tbsp onion powder

2 tbsp cumin

2 tbsp ancho chili powder

2 tbsp black pepper

Blend all of the spices together. A mason jar or ziplock works great for this: add all the spices into the jar and shake! Massage all of the rub into the brisket so that every nook and cranny is covered. Wrap in a butcher paper or saran wrap, place on a pan and put back in the fridge for 24-48 hours.
